
California's coastline
extends for 1019 mostly-scenic miles. The Northern Pacific Ocean's
clockwise currents keep the water along the coast cool. This helps keep
the temperatures close to the ocean moderate throughout the year. The
Coastal Highway (California 1) follows long stretches of the coastline,
providing great views to the coast's many visitors. Below are links to
